Howden Driving Data enhances capabilities with appointment of Tommy Ahearne as Chief Data Officer

London, 18 July 2023: Howden, the global insurance group, today announces that it is expanding its Driving Data technology and data teams with the appointment of Tommy Ahearne as Chief Data Officer. This follows the recent launch of Howden Drive, its telematics service that helps to lower motor insurance premiums for customers in the in the UK, and reflects Howden Driving Data’s continued commitment to invest in talent to develop enhanced data solutions for insurers and brokers.
Ahearne has worked in insurance telematics for over ten years, initially with Wunelli, now part of Lexis Nexis, and then as a founder of SmartDriverClub. For the last four years, Ahearne has worked with US Software as a Service organisation Calamp, supporting their European businesses such as ‘Tracker’ in the UK.
