DUAL North America makes two underwriting leadership appointments in casualty divisions

9 December 2024 –DUAL North America (“DUAL”), a leading underwriting organization, announced the appointment of two experienced leaders to its growing team. Andreas Graham joins as Executive Vice President of the EIURS team, a division of DUAL, and Ed Frey has been appointed Senior Vice President of Professional Liability.

In his new role, Graham will lead the EIURS team, which specializes in middle market energy casualty, ocean marine, and inland marine underwriting, focusing on driving growth and solidifying DUAL’s presence in this critical market segment.

A recognized leader in the casualty insurance space, Graham brings extensive expertise in marine and energy risks. Most recently, he served as Head of Excess Casualty National Accounts at Everest Insurance, where he managed a diverse portfolio across energy, construction, and general industry sectors. Graham’s strategic vision and leadership were instrumental in building Everest’s energy excess casualty book and managing the profitability and direction of these complex lines of business.

With more than twenty years of industry experience, Graham has held senior positions at AIG, ACE USA, and ProSight Specialty, further broadening his knowledge across the energy, marine, and construction markets. His proven track record of innovation and success positions him to make an immediate impact at DUAL.

Based in Boston, Graham will report to Connie Germano, Chief Casualty Officer at DUAL North America.

Ed Frey will serve as Senior Vice President of Professional Liability, a key leadership role aimed at driving growth and innovation in the division. Frey will oversee DUAL’s existing professional liability portfolio while spearheading initiatives to expand the platform and identify new market opportunities.

With more than 20 years of expertise in professional liability underwriting and broking, Frey has successfully managed diverse portfolios spanning architects & engineers (A&E), miscellaneous professional liability (MPL), accountants, employment practices liability insurance (EPLI), technology, and environmental risks. Most recently, he served as Director of Underwriting at Navigators, where he led the development and execution of multiple professional liability programs. Based in Chicago, Frey will report to Connie Germano, and work closely with the team to deliver strategic growth in this dynamic sector.

As part of this transition, Larry Baldino, President of Cyber who stepped in to help lead the professional liability division for the last few years, will now fully focus on overseeing DUAL’s expanding cyber business, continuing to drive its growth and innovation.
