Howden Broking, the independent insurance broker with employee ownership at its heart, has today announced the appointment of Jane Bennett to its Financial Lines practice. This hire reinforces Howden’s strategy to be the leading specialist broker in the Financial Institutions sector.
Bennett brings over 30 years of underwriting experience in the Financial Institutions market and has previously held a number of senior underwriting and leadership positions. She joins Howden in November as a Senior Advisor, adding further depth of experience and expertise to Howden’s existing services for Financial Institutions clients, helping them to successfully navigate through this challenging marketplace.
Howden’s Financial Lines practice provides insurance broking and risk management services across the Financial and Professional services sectors. The division has over 330 people working with the full spectrum of clients; from sole practitioners to large corporate organisations.
Sarah Hughes, Global Practice Leader of Howden’s Financial Lines practice commented, “With continued consolidation in the insurance market threatening to offer clients less choice, we believe our Financial Lines practice is the most compelling choice for clients. Critical to this is continuing to attract the industry’s top talent so that we offer clients best-in-class expertise, a forensic understanding of their sector and the challenges within it. Jane has vast experience in the world of Financial Institutions and we are delighted to welcome her on-board.”
Jane Bennett added, “Now is a pivotal moment for the insurance sector; the hardening market and the impact of COVID 19 are creating real challenges for all Financial Institutions. Clients need an insurance broker that really understands their risk profile and the market dynamics in order to deliver optimal solutions. Howden has a very strong reputation for its Financial Lines expertise, in which it continues to invest significantly and I am excited to become part of it.”
