About Seven Clean Seas
Seven Clean Seas are an innovative organisation dedicated to combating plastic pollution in our oceans. With a clear vision and unwavering commitment, they strive to remove millions of kilograms of plastic waste from our marine environments, making a tangible difference in the fight against plastic pollution.
The challenge
Plastic pollution poses a grave threat to our oceans, with millions of metric tonnes of plastic entering marine ecosystems every year. Recognising the urgency of the situation, we sought a partner who shares our passion for environmental stewardship and a desire to drive positive change.
The solution
Seven Clean Seas employ new methods to tackle plastic pollution head-on. Through strategic initiatives and community-driven efforts, they work tirelessly to remove plastic waste from coastlines, rivers, and oceans. Their approach not only cleans up our marine environments but also raises awareness and inspires action on a global scale.
Why we chose Seven Clean Seas
In April 2020, we proudly announced our partnership with Seven Clean Seas, driven by our shared beliefs and commitment to being a force for good in the world. We believe that harnessing our collective power is essential in addressing the extreme challenges our oceans face.
Seven Clean Seas' creative approach and track record of success made them the ideal partner for us. By supporting their mission, we aim to make a meaningful contribution to the preservation of our oceans and the protection of marine life.
Our impact
Since the start of the partnership, Howden and Seven Clean Seas have removed over 287,000kg of plastic waste from our oceans. Through beach clean-ups, river monitoring projects and educational initiatives, together we have made significant strides in combating plastic pollution and raising awareness about the importance of ocean conservation.
